Lamar Odom‘s teenage son posted the very first photo of his dad since the basketball star was hospitalized after a life-threatening drug overdose — and it’s a sight for sore eyes.

In the playful, touching selfie, 13-year-old Lamar Morales Odom and his sister, Destiny Odom, 17, are visible in the background, with their father in front. Only half of Lamar Sr.’s face is showing.

“Christmas with my pops. Here’s to 2016. Blessed,” the teen captioned the Instagram shot.

The picture is a hopeful one and comes just weeks after the 36-year-old former NBA player walked on his own for the first time.

He is still married to Khloé Kardashian, who halted divorce proceedings after Odom was found unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel in October. Khloé, 31, has made many of Lamar’s medical decisions since the drug overdose left him fighting for his life and unable to walk or talk, though she’s made it clear the pair aren’t back together.

Lamar Jr. and Destiny are Lamar’s two children with ex Liza Morales, and flew to LA to be with their dad over the holidays, E! reported. Khloé is also said to have visited Lamar several times in the hospital over Christmas.
