In the latest issue of Life & Style, an insider reveals that Leonardo DiCaprio recently got his hands on Bruce Springsteen’s new memoir, Born to Run, and “he just went crazy for the material.”
“Leo offered Bruce’s team $10 million for the movie rights,” the insider says. But Bruce “has always maintained that he would never allow his life story to become a movie.”
After the rocker’s team rejected the offer, “Leo called Bruce directly and proved how passionate he is about the project by reeling off lyrics to his songs.”

Bruce finally budged — a little. “He wants any actor who plays him on-screen to sing like him,” the source explains. “So they agreed to have a script written and have Leo work with voice coaches to show Bruce if he can pull it off.”
