Mama June Sends Sweet Birthday Wishes To Her Estranged Daughter Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell
We totally expected “Mama June” Shannon to go all out for her daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson’s 13th birthday on Aug. 28, but we didn’t expect this! A little while after celebrating Alana on Instagram, June posted a photo of her oldest daughter Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, who she has been estranged from for some time now.
“Happy 24th Birthday to my oldest @annamarie35 as you all know Anna and Alana share the same birthday! ???♥️” she wrote. Fans were flabbergasted! “Oh wow I didn’t even think they’d talk to each other,” said one fan. Another was equally surprised, writing, “It’s been sad that you guys don’t talk about her at all on the show! Not even a picture or pictures of your other grandkids. Those who been watching since day wonder about them!”
It’s unclear if June and Anna are back in touch now or not. Anna has not liked or responded to the post, so that doesn’t look promising. However, last year June only posted about Alana on the special day and left Anna out, so this seems like some kind of progress!
If you aren’t familiar with the feud between June and Anna, here’s what happened. Anna cut all ties with Mama June when she began dating her ex Mark McDaniel again in 2015. Mark was convicted of molesting Anna when she was eight years old, so it’s completely understandable why she was horrified that her mom would date him again.
Prior to that drama, Anna also accused Mama June of stealing money from her trust fund and savings accounts to the tune of over $15,000. At the time, they were talking on the phone and trying to fix things, but three years later we still haven’t seen them together. Hopefully this new post means things are moving in the right direction!
