Get this woman some hot tea! After an extremely embarrassing performance during last year’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, Mariah Carey came well prepared to redeem herself with this year’s performance. And while she took the stage and slayed two of her biggest hits in below freezing temperatures, all this pop diva wanted was a sip of hot tea in between songs — and she was forced go on without a warm beverage.

First, Mariah performed her 1990 hit “Vision of Love” and right before she sang her 1993 hit “Hero,” she took a pause to make one small request. “I just want to take a sip of tea if they’ll let me, they told me there would be tea,” the 47-year-old told the crowd, but there was no tea available. “Oh, it’s a disaster. Okay, well we’ll just have to rough it. I’ma have to be like everybody else with no hot tea.”

Fans took to Twitter to react to the hilarious moment. “If Mariah Carey can make it through that performance without her hot tea, then I can make it through another year,” one fan wrote, another tweeted, “Compared to last year’s disaster, Mariah Carey did a good job tonight. Now someone get her some hot tea!”

After she left the stage, Mariah took to Instagram to reveal that she finally got her New Year’s Eve wish. “Found my tea!” she captioned a shot of her sipping from a white mug. Later that night, Mariah also revealed that she got to spend some quality time with dem babies on New Year’s Eve! The mom-of-two — she shares twins Moroccan and Monroe with her ex-husband Nick Cannon — shared a photo of her and her adorable kids celebrating the new year together on her Instagram story later that night.
