As Mimi says, they belong together!
Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey first got together almost a decade ago, despite their 10-year age difference. After many weddings (they renewed their vows annually!), two babies, and one grueling divorce, the long-time couple is once again fueling rumors that they are reconciling their relationship in 2017.
The couple met in 2005 but it wasn't until three years later that they began a whirlwind romance that lasted six weeks. After the two-month mark, Nick and Mariah wed in an intimate ceremony, with only a dozen guests present.
"I’d always admired Mariah from afar, but once we connected I felt it was destined: This has to be my wife," Cannon told People at the time.
"We really do feel we are soulmates," Mariah said. "I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me. I was always so career-oriented. I would hope and pray for my friends to find love, but I never did that for myself. And then? Everything just fell into place!"
Since the couple split in 2012, Mariah almost married billionaire James Packer — though the engagement was called off — and Nick welcomed another child with his ex-girlfriend, Brittany Bell. Through it all, Nick and Mariah have always managed to keep their twins as their number one priority. Despite their separate attempts to move on, fans have been hoping for the couple to rekindle their love ever since Mariah announced her breakup from her most recent boyfriend, Bryan Tanaka.
With rumors of a rekindled love swirling, it feels like the perfect time to revisit Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey's six-year marriage.
