Slow down, girl! After a busy week, Meghan Markle is cutting back and taking a break. She and Prince Harry have been on their first royal tour as a married couple and kicked off the tour by announcing Meghan was pregnant on Oct. 15, shortly after touching down in Sydney, Australia — so it’s easy to say that this has been a whirlwind of a week for the mother-to-be. “She’s feeling fine, but resting,” a royal source allegedly said according to Emily Nash, a Royal Editor at HELLO!

The pregnant Duchess was expected to stand alongside her man at the Invictus Games cycling event where she was set to help present medals, she but ended up staying home to relax. A source close to the royals told Us Weekly that Meghan missed the event because of a very late night the day before, and that she needed to catch up with her rest. “We have to try to pace her. We have to make sure she is well paced and not overdoing it,” the insider reportedly said. “We want to make sure she gets enough rest at the beginning of the day and at the end of the day.”

After missing the cycling event, Kensington Palace released a statement on Oct. 21 stating that because of “a busy program, The Duke and Duchess have decided to cut back The Duchess’s schedule slightly for the next couple of days, ahead of the final week and a half of the tour,” the statement said regarding Meghan’s no-show.

Luckily for Meghan, Harry supports her and only wants the best for her. The Duke of Sussex showed up solo to the event, presented the medals, and confirmed afterward that Meghan was “resting back at home.” In fact, Harry is so set on making sure his wife stays healthy during her first pregnancy, he supposedly “encouraged his pregnant wife to slow down after she felt tired when the opening of the Invictus Games overran by nearly two hours,” royal sources told Us Weekly.

Meghan didn’t stay in bed all day, though. She ended up attending a reception hosted by Australian Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, at The Pavilion restaurant in Sydney. The royal insider supposedly said that even though the Duchess “appeared lively and engaged” at the event, “she wants to do everything, but Prince Harry is encouraging her to pace herself.” What a sweet hubby!

The mother-to-be has been running around nonstop since beginning the 16-day-tour, and Meghan reportedly still plans to make other scheduled appearances. We just hope that the brown-eyed-beauty doesn’t push herself too far, but it looks like Harry won’t let that happen!
