Is anyone else royally confused? On Oct. 9, MTV announced that Meghan Markle’s nephew, Tyler Dooley, will be joining the cast of a new reality series called The Royal World. According to Entertainment Tonight, the series will feature a group of “English royals and aristocrats who will come together for one summer in the English countryside to live like the monarchs and super elite all while cameras are rolling.”

As the only American on the show, Tyler’s sole connection to the monarchy is his relation to the newly minted Duchess of Sussex. Hmmm, sounds like yet another family member riding those royal coattails, if you ask us.

ICYMI: This isn’t the first time the 25-year-old has used his aunt’s name and likeness to further his career. In fact, Tyler rolled out a strain of marijuana — oh, did we mention he runs a cannabis business called Royally Grown in Oregon? — called “Markle Sparkle” ahead of the 37-year-old’s nuptials to Prince Harry

“Meghan grew up in California and I am sure has an American view on pot,” Tyler told Daily Mail at the time. “Prince Harry enjoys a good party. I’d be happy to show them around if they ever come out here and educate them on the medicinal benefits of marijuana which helps everything from post-traumatic stress syndrome to insomnia to pain in cancer patients.”

As you can imagine, Meghan has never formally commented on her nephew’s puff, puff, pass pursuits. However, Tyler has publically spoken about the former Suits actress on several occasions. On March 26, he took to Good Morning Britain with his mother, Tracy Dooley, to show his love and support ahead of Meghan’s walk down the aisle. TBH, he also sort of whined about how he wasn’t invited to the wedding, but, hey! Still better than Samantha Markle, right?

Be sure to catch the premiere of The Royal World on Nov. 7 on MTV International.
