Miranda Kerr ‘Has Already Called’ Ex Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry Over Baby News: She’s ‘Really Happy’
Congratulating her coparent! Orlando Bloom’s ex-wife Miranda Kerr is “really happy” for the movie star, 43, and his fiancée, Katy Perry, after the happy couple welcomed daughter Daisy Dove, a source exclusively tells In Touch. The model, 37, “has already called to congratulate the pair.”
Following the engaged couple’s birth announcement, the mother of three took to social media to show her support. “Welcome to the world, Daisy Dove Bloom!” the proud dad wrote on Instagram, reposting a black and white photo UNICEF of the mother and father holding hands with their new bundle of joy on Thursday, August 27. “We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,” they told the foundation as UNICEF ambassadors. While tons of celebrities sent well-wishes to the duo, the actor’s ex “liked” his touching post.
Although this is Orlando and Katy’s first child together, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor is also father to 9-year-old son Flynn, whom he shares with the Victoria’s Secret model. They welcomed their son in 2011 after saying “I do” one year prior. After six years as a couple and three years of marriage, the coparents decided to split up and divorced in 2013.
Following their breakup, the exes appear to be on good terms. Miranda went on to marry Snapchat cofounder and CEO Evan Spiegel in 2017 and welcomed two children together — Hart, 2, and Myles, 10 months. As for Orlando, he linked up with the “Roar” singer in 2016 but the couple broke up and got back together in April 2018. The heartthrob asked for Katy’s hand in marriage in February.
This isn’t the first time Miranda has shown her support for her ex and his new partner. In June 2019, the ladies were spotted hanging out together at an event for the model’s beauty brand, Kora.
Additionally, it looks like Miranda and Orlando’s son also approves of the “Firework” singer. “Katy simply adores Orlando’s son Flynn,” a source told Life & Style in March 2019. “She’s a great stepmom, but she desperately wants her own kids.”
Now that Katy’s dream has come true, “Orlando can’t wait for Flynn, who’s already 9 and thinks he’s grown, to interact with his little sibling,” another source shared after the couple revealed they were expecting.
It looks like everyone is getting along following their baby bliss.
