Miranda Lambert and New Husband Brendan McLoughlin Make Cozy Appearance at the ACM Awards
Date night! Miranda Lambert brought her new hubby, Brendan McLoughlin, to the 54th Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, April 7. It appears that this is the first public appearance since the two lovebirds revealed they got secretly married in February.
The blonde beauty, 35, wore a green sparkly dress, while her man wore a tuxedo. While the couple was on the carpet, it looked like they couldn’t stop smiling and gazing into one another’s eyes. Clearly, these two are still in the honeymoon phase!
The “Tin Man” singer shocked everyone when she announced that she was no longer single on social media. “In honor of Valentine’s Day, I wanted to share some news,” Miranda wrote on Instagram at the time. “I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full. Thank you Brendan McLoughlin for loving me for … me. #TheOne.”
So, how did the duo meet? Apparently, the Grammy winner came across Brendan when she made an appearance on Good Morning America in November. The Texas native sang on GMA with her band, Pistol Annies, at that same time, so the timing would make sense since they got hitched rather quickly.
Miranda has been lucky in love before, and it looks like Brendan has a shady past. The 27-year-old is a NYPD officer and also a new dad, In Touch previously reported. In November 2018, he reportedly welcomed a child with his ex Kaihla Rettinger — the woman he allegedly cheated on his former fiancée with.
“Yes, she definitely married a cheater, absolutely,” Carol Bruno — the mother of his former fiancée — previously revealed to In Touch.
Previously, Miranda was married to Blake Shelton for four years before they divorced in July 2015. Afterward, she dated Anderson East and Evan Felker, but neither relationship worked out.
Here’s to hoping that Miranda finally found her happily ever after!
