Nicole Kidman Does Not Know How to Clap — See the Hilarious Oscars GIF!

Nicole Kidman did not win an Oscar at last night's Academy Awards, but the Australian actress did make headlines — for her clap!.

The 49-year-old beauty was seated next to her husband Keith Urban when a GIF of her clapping went viral all over social media.

With her palms barely touching and her fingers bent unnaturally backward, Nicole proves celebrities are definitely not like us — even when it comes to clapping.

"Why do you have hands like the Grinch?" the Fat Jewish asked on his popular Instagram account, while EDM artist Skrillex commented on Twitter, "Nicole Kidman's clap made me so happy today."

She was also compared to a seal, an alien and Edward Scissorhands on social media.

While her clap definitely did not top the huge Oscar mix-up as the highlight of the night, it did remind viewers of another celeb who had a similar clapping mishap at the Golden Globes a few years back.

In 2010, Brendan Fraser was caught on camera having a very similar awkward moment, and he later explained what really happened.
