Meet Ophelia Vanity — the real-life anime Barbie doll!
The Instagram model has undergone a drastic transformation to achieve her other-worldly look, going from goth in her high school years to her current cotton-candy hair doll aesthetic.
"I've always loved Barbie since I was a kid. I think I saw my first Barbie doll at 5 years old and instantly fell in love with her looks: the long blonde hair, blue eyes, makeup, and large array of clothes for her wardrobe," Ophelia told Life & Style exclusively. "During high school, I went through a teenage phase of being "gothic," wherein I wore black and became more of a tomboy for several years. I guess I just naturally grew out of that at 17 or 18 years of age and reverted back to my former "girly girl" self.

According to the Daily Mail, the 30-year-old has spent $35,000 so far to achieve her Barbie-inspired makeover — and she revealed exclusively to Life & Style that she is hoping for more cosmetic procedures in the future.
"I don't have any surgeries planned for a certain date, although I'm currently trying to raise funds for breast implants," she said. "Other future surgeries I would love to have are buttock implants or a Brazilian Butt Lift, BrightOcular, and skin bleaching."
While plastic surgeons have refused to remove ribs to make her waistline slimmer, she has already undergone several treatments including, Botox, collagen injections, dermal fillers, rhinoplasty, and lip fillers
She also opened up about her mental health struggles and shared how her doll-like appearance helps her cope.
"I've suffered from extremely low self-esteem my entire life, in addition to my other mental illnesses (PTSD, anxiety, depression, insomnia)," she wrote. "5-7 plastic surgery operations would literally change my life, but I can't even afford ONE at present. This may sound shallow or racist, but in no way is it meant to be!"
She continued, "I suffer from hyperthyroid and chronic Grave's Disease, which has sadly taken a HUGE toll on my health. The scariest symptom is the loss of sight in my right eye, coupled with blurry/double vision. Grave's creates extra pressure and build-up behind the eyeball, causing it to bulge out."
Ophelia is proof you should never judge a book by its cover. Despite her "blonde" appearance, she double majored in political science and French at UCLA and has had her poetry nationally published.
"A major misconception that people have is that I'm 'delusional,' but this is simply my personal aesthetic," she told Life & Style. "I do get angry initially when I see 'hate comments' as I'm only human, but I mainly feel sad for those who judge me or others based purely on appearance without taking the chance to get to know me first. It'd be a much better place if people weren't so quick to stereotype and judge, and were more open-minded, understanding, and empathetic, whilst taking the time to get to know someone first before making false or hateful statements about them."
