Paris Jackson Is All Grown up at the 2017 Grammys — See Her Hippy Chic Ensemble!

After making a splash at a Golden Globes after party in January, Paris Jackson got a warm welcome at the 2017 Grammys, where she introduced a performance by The Weeknd and Daft Punk.

But before reading from the teleprompter, the 18-year-old got political by referencing the Dakota Access Pipeline. “We could really use this kind of excitement at a pipeline protest, guys!” she said as the audience cheered.

Returning to her presenting duties, the blonde beauty quoted her late father, Michael Jackson, by saying, “A legend once said that a star can never die, it just turns into a smile and melts back into the cosmic music, the dance of life. The artist about to take the stage is a shining star whose cosmic style has embraced the very roots of music, from R&B to soul to hip-hop and now pop music.”

She continued, “Joined by his genius collaborators and robot friends, Daft Punk, we have here tonight a real starboy. Ladies and gentlemen, please give a warm welcome to The Weeknd.”

Paris also gave a shout-out to Beyoncé, calling the pregnant superstar “beautiful” after recalling her first run-in with the “Halo” singer to Ryan Seacrest.

When accepting a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award for her father at the 2010 ceremony, the teen remembered, “I was really nervous and I made eye contact with Beyoncé who was like in the first row and I like almost peed myself, I was so excited and then I like couldn’t think of what to say. But that was like my main focus.”

The model also got some love from her older brother Prince after hitting the stage. “So proud of my sister, not only did she address a crowd that big, but she designed a tasteful dress that expresses her individuality and uniqueness and she ROCKED it. Proud of you,” the 19-year-old wrote on Instagram.
