Bye-bye, blondie! Paris Jackson ditched her signature platinum locks for brunette tresses at the 2017 Teen Choice Awards in LA on Sunday, Aug. 13. The 19-year-old star stunned as she showed off her new, chocolate mane while walking the carpet ahead of the show. Dressed in a sweet and simple floral dress, the gorgeous daughter of the late Michael Jackson wore her hair in a chic, messy updo. She polished off her look with dewy makeup and Bohemian jewelry.

Paris — who was nominated for Choice Female Hottie alongside Camila Cabello, Deepika Padukone, Rihanna, Selena Gomez, and Zendaya — took to Instagram to share a few snaps of herself rocking her new, darker ‘do and to thank her fans. “thank you @teenchoicefox for the nominations and thank you to everyone who voted both for me or for my fellow nominees!” she wrote.

Despite her nomination in a category based on looks, Paris has always been a proponent of body positivity. Last month, the model opened up to i-D magazine about her definition of beauty, and how it’s difficult for women to adhere to society’s unattainable beauty standards.

“I can’t fit into a runway sample size of designer clothes, I have scars and stretch marks and acne and I have cellulite,” she explained to the publication. “The idea that we all have to fit one idea of beauty is outrageous and ridiculous because ‘perfection’ is just an opinion.”

According to the teen scion, she hopes that her work in fashion will help other young girls see that it’s OK to have flaws. “I still have countless insecurities and fears, like everyone else I know. But we’re getting there, slowly but surely,” she added. “Which is a big reason I want to change this fashion/beauty stigma, so it’s not as difficult for people around the world to feel beautiful just the way they are.”
