At least he’s honest, right? Pete Davidson took to The Howard Stern Show on Sept. 24 to reveal a number of intimate details about himself, including his struggles with sobriety. For those of you who are unaware: The SNL star went to rehab in 2016, but has since been on the wagon-ish — with the exception of marijuana.

“It wasn’t the weed,” the 24-year-old revealed. “I was sober for three months at one point and was like this f—–g sucks.” Pete went on to explain that smoking weed helps with both his mental and physical health issues. In 2017, the comedian was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. In addition to that, he also suffers from a chronic inflammatory bowel condition called Crohn’s disease.

“I have Crohn’s disease, so it helps more than you can imagine,” Pete said of why he smokes so often. “There was a point where I couldn’t get out of bed. I was 110 pounds… I also just love smoking weed.” Again, you gotta love his honesty, right? “I’ve been smoking weed every day for eight years,” Pete added.

Despite the fact that Pete only mentioned marijuana during the interview, we’d have to imagine that substance abuse is a particularly sensitive subject for his fiancée, Ariana Grande. After all, not only does Ariana’s brother, Frankie Grande, suffer from addiction, her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller recently passed from an apparent overdose at just 26 years old.

According to one of Mac’s close friends Shane Powers, Ariana was instrumental in helping with the rapper’s sobriety. “She was incredible when he was first sobering up. She was a f—–g G to him,” Shane explained. “There could not have been anybody more supportive of him being sober than Ariana.”

As to whether the “God is a woman” singer is in a similar situation with Pete remains to be seen. However, we do hope that Ariana’s soon-to-be husband has everything under control and that their relationship is happier and healthier than ever… no matter how many times a day Pete smokes.
