Pete Davidson’s Friend Reportedly Arrested on Drug Charges — While Pete Was Driving!
Comedian Pete Davidson and a friend reportedly had a run-in with the law last weekend. A new report reveals the 24-year-old was pulled over by police in upstate New York when they smelled marijuana, which prompted them to search the vehicle.
According to TMZ, the Saturday Night Live star and his buddy were driving in Syracuse, where Pete is currently filming Big Time Adolescence with Machine Gun Kelly, when a cop stopped them around 4 a.m. for an unknown reason. Several sources told the outlet that Pete took a sobriety test and passed, but his friend was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance and cited for unlawful possession of weed. Cops are not saying what the controlled substance was.
The news comes just one day after Pete’s fiancée, Ariana Grande, said her man is “always high!” The pop star opened up about how he proposed on the Zach Gang Show and said, “It was just really simple and really sweet. We were just hanging out, he had a ring, and uh, yeah. He just asked me. It was really sweet. He didn’t get on a knee or anything, thank God. That would’ve been so googly.”
She added that despite his non-traditional proposal, she’s not “very traditional” herself. “I’m not like a very traditional person, so the fact that I’m getting married is something I never even saw coming,” she said. “I never saw that coming, I never wanted that. I was like f–k that, what’s the point. And then I kind of understood it when it was, like, with the right person.” Aww!
