He’s not mad about it! In an exclusive interview with Life & Style, Bachelorette alum Peter Kraus weighed in on the controversial age gap between current Bachelor star Arie Luyendyk Jr. and contestant Bekah Martinez.

“It’s hard to say. I mean, I’ve never dated anyone that much younger than me, but I don’t know. If you find love wherever, it is what it is. Love is love at the end of the day, regardless of age,” the hunky personal trainer said of Arie and Bekah’s romance. “She seems [mature] and she doesn’t look 22. She speaks very fluently and she seems like a good person.”

As viewers saw at the start of this season of The Bachelor, Arie expressed concern over Bekah’s age. “My fear with you is that you might be where I was in my 20s. I think it’s a valid fear,” Arie confessed during dinner before asking, “How old are you?”

Not surprisingly, Bekah was hesitant to respond. “I don’t want to say because I haven’t been wanting you to see me through the lens of my age,” she explained. After telling him that she’s only 22, the sexy race car driver appeared visibly shocked. “You are so young,” he exclaimed. “I’m not here for a 22-year-old girlfriend, I’m here for a wife,” he later told the camera.

However, the two have seemingly moved past the age gap drama — and Bekah has quickly become a fan favorite and a frontrunner to win Arie’s coveted final rose. Asked to comment on how Arie’s handling his long-awaited season of The Bachelor, Peter had nothing but kind things to say.

“I like him. People are giving him so much push for being kind of quiet and reserved. He seems to be in it for the right reasons, if you will, and that’s to find love, and that’s a serious thing in a limited period of time,” he told Life & Style. “I think he’s taking what he has, and that’s a lot of women trying to condense them into his top group and take it very seriously.”
