Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle is seemingly making a big change to her diet during her pregnancy! According to a new report, vegan Meghan is now eating meat while expecting her first child with husband Prince Harry due to royal doctors’ orders.
“It’s extremely difficult for mums-to-be on vegan or vegetarian diets to get enough of the proteins they need. While Meghan isn’t fond of the idea of eating meat, she’s doing it for the sake of her baby,” a source told the UK’s Daily Star in a story published on Monday, Nov. 19. Thankfully, Harry, 34, is reportedly supporting Meghan as she moves away from her “usually leafy diet with grains and fresh juice” while she’s carrying their royal baby.
The Daily Star has also similarly reported that 37-year-old Meghan is trying to avoid germs at all costs during her pregnancy. “Obviously Meg has always been about the holistic, organic life. She’s now keener than ever on that. She loves ‘live’ bacteria yogurts to promote gut health and is only eating [vegetables] and fruit from organic farms. She’ll walk right away from anyone smoking and she’s keeping herself as germ-free as possible. So anywhere with air [conditioning] is a no,” a source revealed.
Despite a few major changes to her lifestyle, Meghan is allegedly still practicing yoga throughout her pregnancy to help her body and mind stay healthy. “Meg’s said she wants to let nature lead the way. That means all of the yoga will stay part of her schedule, as she’s keen to have as natural a birth as possible — drug-free, holistic remedies only, and mum Doria [Ragland] on hand for meditation,” the insider shared. We can’t wait to meet Harry and Meghan’s little bundle of joy in just a few more months!
