There have been rumors going around for a while that Prince William and Prince Harry were not getting along, and now the redheaded royal is setting the record straight. “Part of this role and part of this job, this family being under the pressure that it’s under, inevitably, you know, stuff happens,” the 35-year-old said in a new ITV documentary called Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, which aired in the U.K. on Sunday, October 20. “But look, we are brothers, we will always be brothers. We are certainly on different paths at the moment, but I will always be there for him, and as I know, he will always be there for me.”

Harry continued to reveal that part of the reason he has all of this tension with Prince William, 37, is because they fight like normal siblings do. “We don’t see each other as much as we used to because we are so busy, but you know, I love him dearly, and the majority of this stuff [in the press] is created out of nothing, but as you know, as brothers, you have good days, you have bad days.”

In May, Harry and his wife, Duchess Meghan (née Markle), decided to split from the royal foundation they set up with Prince William and his wife, Duchess Kate, which raised some eyebrows. Then, after Harry welcomed his son, Archie, into the world, it appeared that the two brothers weren’t as close anymore. “The Queen hoped that the arrival of Archie would bring her grandsons together,” the insider told In Touch exclusively. “Whilst they still talk, their relationship isn’t back to how it used to be.”

The source added, “The boys are both married and have families of their own, so it’s only natural that they’ve drifted apart. There are still unresolved problems with Meghan — although William has accepted her into the family, her strong opinions have rubbed him and some of the other royals up the wrong way.”

In the documentary, Meghan, 38, also got candid about what it’s like to deal with the criticism of the press. “I have said for a long time to H — that is what I call him. It’s not enough to just survive something, right? That is not the point of life,” she said to ITV News at Ten anchor Tom Bradby. “You’ve got to thrive, you’ve got to feel happy and I think I really tried to adopt this British sensibility of a stiff upper lip. I’ve tried. I really tried, but I think that what that does internally is probably really damaging. The biggest thing that I know is that I never thought this would be easy, but I thought it would be fair, and that is the part that’s really hard to reconcile.”

We know it’s normal for siblings to fight, so we just hope they can work everything out!
