We don’t see much of them, but Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are one of the hottest couples in Hollywood. Luckily, it seems like they may be changing their hyper-private ways as they step back into the public sphere. On Wednesday, September 4, they stepped out to grab a bite to eat, and it’s clear they had a romantic evening. Check out photos from the couples’ dinner date in the gallery below.

The stars grabbed something to eat at Nightshade in Los Angeles, California. Though they have two daughters together, they left the kids at home so they could spend a little time alone.

Night Out

While a nanny took care of their children, Ryan, 38, and Eva, 45, enjoyed a long, luxurious meal, lingering in the restaurant for over two hours before they finally headed out, hand-in-hand.

Public Eye

Though the family has avoided the cameras for years, it seems they’re starting to become more comfortable in the public eye. In July, the mother of two was seen taking one of her daughters shopping.

In May, the actress stepped out with both daughters in tow as they shared a girls’ lunch out in the city, rocking some colorful spring clothes.

The whole Mendes-Gosling crew was spotted on a family outing to Disneyland in March as Amada, 3, was carried around on her dad’s shoulders and Esmeralda, 4, enjoyed the rides.

Baby No. 3?

A source told Life & Style in May that the couple was also talking about continuing to grow their family. “Ryan and Eva definitely talk about having another child,” the insider exclusively revealed.

All Love

“They would love a little brother for their daughters, Esmerelda and Amada,” they said. “Eva’s 45, so it’s kind of now or never, but they’ve also considered adopting.”

“Who knows what they’ll end up doing, since they’re so super private, but they definitely enjoy being parents,” the insider continued. “They both say it’s their most important role.”

“They have a lot of love to give,” they finished. “I can definitely see them with one more child.” It’s a big decision, but one that seems easy enough for Eva to make after she decided to start a family in the first place.

“[Having kids] was the furthest thing from my mind,” she told Women’s Health in April 2019. “[Then] Ryan Gosling happened. … It made sense for me to have … not kids, but his kids. It was very specific to him.”
