Scarlett Johansson didn't always live the luxurious life she's used to today.
The Avengers star (who is reportedly bringing in $20 million for her role in the film) recently opened up in a statement about her difficult upbringing — and how she's determined to help others who are struggling just like her family used to.
"My family grew up relying on public assistance to help provide meals," she said. "Child hunger in America is a real and often overlooked problem, but one that together, we can fix."
Now the actress is a proud spokesperson for a new awareness campaign for Feeding America along with 'Avengers' costar, Jeremy Renner.
"Feeding America is a nationwide network of food banks that helps provide meals to millions of kids in families in need," she said in a clip promoting the cause.
