All eyes are on Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber! The on-again, off-again couple might be taking a break right now, but fans are convinced Selena’s new song, “Back to You,” from the 13 Reasons Why Season 2 soundtrack is about her famous ex.

The 25-year-old singer shared a promo image for her single — which comes out May 10 — on Instagram with the caption, “I wanna hold you when I’m not supposed to…” Fans seemed to think the lyric was a reference to Justin, considering they have a complicated romantic history, and Selena’s mom was reportedly pissed the two were rekindling the flame last year.

I wanna hold you when I’m not supposed to…

Jelena fans flooded Selena’s post with “@JustinBieber,” and one user even told Selena she should “contact him directly" to make amends. People moved the conversation over to Twitter and urged the lovebirds to “shock the world once again” by showing up to the Met Gala together.

But don’t get your hopes up, Jelena shippers. Another Twitter user shared a theory that “Back To You” is Selena’s “I’m really over Justin song,” and that very well could be true. Selena has been preoccupied with her new Puma collaboration, and according to E! News, Selena think she and Justin “just aren’t a perfect match right now,” even though he's “made some positive improvements” over the years. Hopefully this time apart will give them both the clarity they need!

As for tonight, fans will have to follow Selena’s whereabouts on social media to see if she makes an appearance at the Met Gala with Justin, or if she decides to walk the carpet solo. Hopefully The Weeknd and his rumored girlfriend Chantel Jeffries — who also happens to be one of Justin’s exes — won’t be there, or else things could get super awkward!
