In her first performance since undergoing a kidney transplant, Selena Gomez proved she is resilient on the American Music Awards stage. However, her fans definitely called her out for choosing to lip-sync her new hit single with Marshmello, "Wolves."

"She's the epitome of love and strength," Julia Michaels said before introducing Selena to the stage. Wearing a white negligee and white sneakers, the former Disney Channel star showed off her new blonde hair in her only television performance of the year. But, it was pretty obvious she was not singing live.

"If only she didn't lip sync it would've been a great performance," one fan wrote before another added, "Demi gotta work on her performances and Selena gotta stop the lip syncing. Y’all could help each other out." Yikes.

Maybe the brunette beauty was not ready for a full comeback following her kidney transplant earlier this year. Selena recently opened up about the surgery and revealed it was scarier than anyone knew. "I started to attempt to fall asleep. And in the middle of that process I started hyperventilating and felt so much pain,” Selena told the Today Show alongside her kidney donor, BFF Francia Raisa. “My teeth — I was grinding — I was freaking out. It was a six-hour surgery that they had to do on me and the normal kidney process is two hours. Apparently one of the arteries had flipped. I’m very grateful that there are people who know what to do in that situation.”

We do have a feeling her ex turned current boyfriend Justin Bieber was a fan of the performance. The couple was recently spotted kissing, seemingly confirming they were giving their relationship another shot. And according Life & Style is reporting that Justin and Selena are ready to tie the knot. “Selena’s health scare has given her more reason to live than ever,” says an insider, who expects Selena to be a pregnant bride. “She doesn’t want to waste another precious second.”
