So Slick! Keri Russell Refuses to Confirm — or Deny — Her Relationship With ‘The Americans’ Co-Star Matthew Rhys
Keri Russell continues to keep everyone guessing!
Weeks after splitting from her husband, Shane Neary, rumors began swirling that the brunette was already moving on with her The Americans co-star Matthew Rhys.
But when Life & Style caught up with the actress at the Television Critics Association in LA on Tuesday, she’d neither confirm nor deny their romance.
“He’ll handle that,” the 37-year-old said when asked if they’ve become more than just co-workers. “He has very funny answers. You can ask him.”
Since they began working together last year, Keri admits she’s developed a great relationship with the 39-year-old Welsh actor.
“I think you spend so much time together and it’s more of a business partnership,” she told Life & Style. “When you do a movie for four months, you can walk away really hating the person and then never see them again.
“Matthew and I are very steady as people. We’re sort of nice, for lack of a better word. It’s very boring, but that makes it harmonious.”
The FX show stars the duo as two Soviet officers posing as an American married couple in Washington, D.C. during the Cold War period in the 1980s.

In December, an eyewitness told the New York Post that Keri and Matthew had amazing chemistry off screen when they were spotted at NYC eatery ABC Kitchen.
“Seeing the way they are together, I could have sworn they were a couple,” the onlooker shared. “They were so touchy-feely, drinking and laughing.”
It seems the handsome star, who’s never been married or had children, has been there for the stunner during a difficult time.
One day before announcing her breakup on Dec. 6, Keri’s Brooklyn home was broken into while she was asleep. Luckily, she wasn’t harmed and the police retrieved her belongings.
The actress’ rep confirmed she and Shane [see above], a carpenter, called it quits in early summer of 2013 after nearly seven years of marriage. They have two children, son River, 6½, and daughter Willa, 1.
The Americans season two premieres Wednesday, Feb. 26 on FX.
