Thin Mama June Wants Daughter Honey Boo Boo to Be Inspired by Her Weight Loss!
After revealing her dramatic weight loss on the March 31 episode of From Not to Hot, Mama June is vowing to never return to her former lifestyle and hopes her journey will provide inspiration for daughters Honey Boo Boo and Pumpkin.
“I do worry about their health, but I’m not going to say, ‘You got to eat salads all the time,'” June tells People magazine of her two youngest kids. “I’ve seen Pumpkin and Alana lose and gain weight, but I don’t want them to end up like I did at 460 lbs. Who would want that?”

Honey Boo Boo, 11 (whose real name is Alana Thompson), was initially weary of her mom undergoing gastric bypass surgery. “I think you look fine the way you are,” the former pageant queen said early in the process. But she eventually came around.

June admits her new body has been an adjustment. “I’m not going to lie to you: I have thrown up, because you can’t over eat with the gastric sleeve,” she shares. “That’s not a thing that I recommend to somebody. You realize what you can and can’t do, and when you do it that one time, you don’t do it again.”
And after dropping down to a size 4, the 37-year-old is determined to stay fit. “I can promise you I’m never going back to that size,” she tells the mag. “I’m happy where I’m at.”
The reality star previously spoke to Life & Style about how her diet has changed over the last year. “I just watch my portions and cut back on a lot of the carbs. The one thing that I cannot live without is my grapes and cheese,” she confessed. Her personal trainer, Kenya Crooks, also revealed that she now loves to walk around the house naked!
“She hated a whole bunch of herself before, but now, because of the surgery and the workout piece of it, she’s enjoying all phases of June,” he said.
