They're coming back! Life & Style can exclusively announce that E!'s hit reality TV series Total Divas has been greenlit for Seasons 8 and 9 — and Season 8 will premiere later this fall! While some fan-favorite cast members are set to return to the show, viewers will get to catch up with "a blast from the past" — and fans will just have to wait to see which WWE Superstar turns up.
"We are thrilled to have celebrated the 100th episode of this popular franchise and are grateful to announce two additional seasons," said Amy Introcaso-Davis, E!’s executive vice president of development and production in a press release. "The series will continue to give a rare glimpse at a beloved cast of strong, diverse women whose big personalities, unique relationships and aspirational lifestyles have proven to resonate with our audience."
The network renewed Total Divas for two more seasons following the wildly successful Season 7 — which delievered 884,000 Total Viewers and 547,000 P18-49 and ranked among the Top 5 original programs on Wednesdays in Primetime (8-11p.m.) across ad-supported cable among key demo W18-34, according to Nielsen reports. Total Divas is produced by WWE and Bunim/Murray Productions. Gil Goldschein, Russell Jay and Farnaz Farjam Chazan are executive producers for Bunim/Murray Productions. Kevin Dunn is executive producer for WWE, while the show's original castmember — and WWE Superstar — Nikki Bella serves as a co-executive producer.
But fans won't have to wait much longer to catch up with Nikki and her twin sister, fellow WWE Superstar Brie Bella, because their Total Divas spin-off Total Bellas returns to E! later this month. During this upcoming season, fans will get to follow along as Brie adjusts to her new life as a working mom, and they'll also get to watch Nikki's relationship with fellow WWE Superstar John Cena unravel. Last month, Nikki announced her split from her longtime love on social media — and the couple called off their wedding just weeks before they were set to tie the knot in Mexico.
"After much contemplation and six years of being together, Nikki Bella and John Cena announced today their decision to separate as a couple," the 34-year-old wrote in a statement on Instagram. "While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of respect for one another. We ask that you respect our privacy during this time in our lives." Watch the video below to see how John reacted to their split on social media.
Total Bellas Season 3 is set to premiere on Sunday, May 20 at 9 p.m. on E!
