Gwen Stefani's chances of winning The Voice are looking good thanks to Troy Ramey!
The singer advanced to the knockout round on last night's episode of the reality singing competition, beating out Jozy Bernadette in a duet of The Jeff Healey Band hit "Angel Eyes."
"Believe me when I tell you. We sound GREAT together. Tune in tonight to see if it's our night," he wrote on Instagram before the big performance. "Really hoping tonight is the night!"
Troy impressed all the judges instantly during the blind auditions, singing the Cat Stevens classic "Wild World" as a tribute to his late father.
Blake Shelton was the first judge to turn his chair for the singer, but he ultimately went to Team Gwen.
"What I related to, what woke me up, was your intention to the lyric of that song," Gwen said. "It was like it was your song. You really moved me. Your voice is so tender and I would love to work with you."
Troy picked the No Doubt rocker without hesitation.
"I'm such a huge fan of all of you, and all of you have influenced me in so many, many ways," he told the judges. "I've gone through this moment in my head so many times. I just have to say I pick Gwen."
Gwen shared her excitement on Twitter, writing, "OMG OMG! #NoDoubt my team is the best one yet! 🙌 I’m so excited to work with everyone on #TeamGwen."
Also on Team Gwen are contestants JChosen, Stephanie Rice, Brandon Royal, Aaliyah Rose, Johnny Gates, Davine Leone, and Brennley Brown. Judges Adam Levine and Alicia Keys chose not steal Jozy following her defeat. Blake currently has a full slate of contestants.
