Earlier this year, Moonshiners star Steven Ray Tickle, known simply as Tickle on the Discovery Channel reality show, was released from jail. However, he's not back on the hit series just yet.

Last year, Tickle was found guilty of possessing an illegal firearm — a sawed-off shotgun in the cab of his truck. He was originally given a three-year suspended sentence, but was arrested again for violating his probation, and sentenced to five months in jail. At the time of his first arrest, Tickle said, "I am a law-abiding citizen. That gun is something that a buddy of mine gave me many years ago."

Fast forward to 2017, and fans saw him leave prison looking plumper than usual. His first stop? To eat a hearty meal. "You know what I'm ready for? Bacon," he told co-star Tim Smith before ordering a BLT sandwich. "I eat eggs all the time sitting up in jail, I don't want no eggs."

He continued, "It's been a long part of my life doing bad things. Eventually, it put me in a place I didn't want to be in. And I'll tell you what, if I keep going the way I am, it's just not going to work. There ain't no place I can go but forward." Tickle also opened up about how hesitant he was to return to his line of work.

"I don't even know about going back out in the woods," he admitted. "Back in the woods, making moonshine. I am seriously thinking of not doing that because I just don't want to go back to where I was at. I got to find another direction to go." Tickle has yet to make an appearance on Season 7 of Moonshiners, and according to his bio, "Tickle will be spending this moonshine season on the sidelines. Once his legal matters are resolved, he will return to his rightful place making moonshine in the backwoods of Virginia." Tune in to Moonshiners on Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. EST on the Discovery Channel.
