Whitney Thore is getting her twerk on!
The star of TLC’s My Big Fat Fabulous Life rose to fame after she showed off her dancing skills in the viral YouTube video “A Fat Girl Dancing” — and she’s proving she still has it! She showed off her moves in a new Instagram video where she twerks with her mom Barbara “Babs” Thore to Rihanna’s 2016 hit song “Work.”
In the clip, Babs and Whitney were in the middle of getting their hair and makeup done when Whitney decided to have a little impromptu dance sesh with her mom. With her hair in rollers, Whitney twerked while her mom showed off some dancing skills of her own!

“Typical,” the 32-year-old wrote in the caption on Instagram.
Whitney was a dancer throughout her childhood until she was diagnosed with PCOS in her early 20s — a condition that causes weight gain and infertility. She gained more than 230 pounds since her diagnosis and stopped doing the things she loved — like dancing — because she was ashamed of her body. But she started her No Body Shame campaign in 2014 and became a voice as a body positivity activist. Now that she’s also a reality star, she explained that she doesn’t have much time to practice her craft, but she shared another video clip of herself dancing and vowed to make more time for dancing.

“As much as I love to dance, when I get really busy I don't do it enough. I recently promised myself I would dance every day — tonight I'm stuck in a hotel room, but I danced my way into the shower for a few minutes,” she wrote in the caption.
