Whitney Thore has some heartbreaking news to share — her dog Tori has crossed over the rainbow bridge. The adorable canine died earlier today at just nine-years-old, and the My Big Fat Fabulous Life star paid tribute to the pup in an emotional Instagram post.

“My brother just called to tell me my sweet Tori passed away suddenly,” Whitney sadly announced in her caption. “I bought her while living in Korea in 2008, and brought her back home with me years later. She brought so much joy to our lives, most recently visiting my mom in the hospital. Ever since I've been back in the states, she really became my mom's dog and they had a very special bond. Rest in peace, sweet baby.”

Her loss comes two weeks after Whitney revealed that her mom, Barbara Thore, suffered a stroke and seizures. Barbara — or Babs — was hospitalized just one day before the Season 3 premiere of Whitney’s TLC reality series, but she made a quick recovery and was able to attend the watch party — and the mommy-daughter duo even showed up wearing matching outfits.
