Who Is Lee Garrett From ‘The Bachelorette’? Here’s Everything You Need to Know About This Season’s Potential Villain!
It’s only week two of Rachel Lindsay‘s journey to find love on The Bachelorette — but there’s already a contestant who’s standing out as the Season 13 villain!
During this week’s episode, contestant Lee Garrett earned a spot on the group date where he got to participate in a basketball game to win some quality time with Rachel — and it was his potentially violent reaction to DeMario Jackson’s girlfriend scandal that really got fans buzzing.
But just like all of the franchise’s past bad boys, Lee is somewhat polarizing — fans either love him or hate him.

He’s from Nashville.
On the season premiere, the 30-year-old singer/songwriter performed a song for Rachel after he got out of the limo — which of course made her and many viewers at home swoon.
He caused a stir even before the show premiere.
A deep dive of his social media profiles unearthed a series of tweets where he proclaimed his support for President Donald Trump, and he also seemingly identifies as a “meninist” — which is a term used to describe an anti-feminist movement.

Some viewers think that he’s racist.
In an extended teaser clip for the upcoming season, Lee was seen getting into a heated discussion with one of his fellow contestants.
“I’m the only country boy in here and I’m going to have problems with some of these guys in here,” Lee told the cameras, which many viewers took as a racist remark because it was seemingly directed toward a black contestant.

Lee’s alleged Twitter account also sheds a light on his racist tendencies — and his offensive remarks led to Lee deactivating his social media accounts.
“What’s the difference between the NAACP and the KKK? Wait for it…One has the sense of shame to cover their racist a– faces,” one tweet read. Another leaked tweet stated, “I don’t hate Muslims. I do hate Islam.”

Fans also think he’s racist is because of one of his answers on his ABC bio. When asked what was the most embarrassing fashion style, Lee wrote “Hip hop type, baggy clothes in middle school. Embarrassing. Echo, FUBU, Air Force Ones? Whatttt? No.”
Compared to Lee, last season’s villain Chad Johnson looks like a saint!
