‘American Idol’ Top 3 Finalists Revealed — Who Will Be the Winner?
The finalists on American Idol have been announced! Unfortunately, judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan had to goodbye to two more contestants — and it wasn't easy to watch. Keep reading below to find out who got voted off American Idol tonight, and who's still in the running.
Who went home on American Idol?
After millions of votes, Cade Foehner and Michael J. Woodard were sadly sent home. The rocker and former bowling alley attendant were kicked off just one episode shy of the two-night finale (and will be missing out on their highly deserved hometown parades). However, we expect to be seeing a lot more from Cade and Michael — thanks to their huge fan bases. "THANK YOU #TheFlock tonight during the show only if you comment a screenshot that you voted I will give you a follow back and later on I’ll be doing shout outs! @AmericanIdol thank y’all a million times over for your support," Cade wrote shortly before his elimination.
Viewers were also clearly disappointed that Michael, who brought Katy to tears on tonight's episode, did not make the Top 3. "Watched American Idol twice and I know that man Michael. J Woodard should’ve won… America step up the music game please," one fan tweeted before another added, "Michael J. Woodard should of been top 3 hands down… this is why I stopped watching #AmericanIdol years ago smh."
Luckily for everyone, you can buy tickets for the American Idol Live tour, which will feature the Top 7 contestants and former Idol winner Kris Allen.
Who is still left on American Idol?
Maddie Poppe, a slimmed-down Caleb Hutchinson, and Gabby Barrett, will sing for viewers' votes next week when the next American Idol winner will be announced! They will also head back to their hometowns for a heroes welcome, according to Ryan Seacrest. Who do you think will win?
