It's hard to forget the impression Hannah Goebel made during her audition for The Voice. The Nashville singer performed "If I Ain't Got You" for judges Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, and Alicia Keys (who originally recorded the ballad). She was a clear favorite since all four judges wanted her on their respective teams. She joined Kelly's team (after Kelly and Adam blocked Alicia), but dropped out of the show before her episode. This left viewers at home wondering, "Why did Hannah leave The Voice?"
Hannah explained to her followers on March 27 that her choice to exit the show was personal. "As many of you have now heard, I left this season of The Voice due to personal reasons," she shared on Instagram. "I want to assure everyone that I am well; I still have my voice and am looking forward to a long music career and recording original songs in the near future."
She also expressed her gratitude for her coach, Kelly. "Above all else, I must endlessly thank my amazing Coach, @kellyclarkson, for believing in me, providing me with the greatest opportunity of my music career thus far," she shared. "Kelly is someone I will always look up to for her incredible poise, beautiful heart, and unbelievable level of talent. I am forever grateful that she decided to use her Block on me and immensely appreciative of the time that I spent on her team."
Since she shared her shocking news, fans have speculated what led to her decision. "I think she wants @aliciakeys to be her coach but Alicia blocked, anyways please join next season, your voice is amazing 👍😊," one fan commented. Another added, "I am sad that you had to leave, you were by far my favorite and I feel certain you would have been named the winner."

Host Carson Daly made a brief announcement regarding Hannah's departure from the show during the episode. Contestant Alexa Cappelli ended up winning the Battle round by default due to Hannah's departure. But, who knows? The singer might return next season especially after receiving so much praise from the judges.
A final fan added, "I thought you for sure we're going all the way, but I'm sorry for whatever happened and I hope everything's getting better now, hopefully, you go back next season or something because I wanna see some more of you."
