No, we’re not crying, you’re crying! OK… we’re crying, too. After last night’s heart-wrenching Bachelorette season finale, we’re not too sure if reality TV will ever be the same again. While we are so pleased that Becca Kufrin finally found the love she deserves with Garrett, we can’t help but feel devastated for runner-up Blake. However, it’s important to remember the silver lining, ladies: Devastated runner-ups make for the best Bachelor candidates. So, who knows? Maybe Blake will end up being the next Bachelor!

Before we get too excited about the prospect of that though, we need to talk about the message Blake shared for Becca on Instagram. If you thought the finale was emotional, LOL, take several seats. On Aug. 6, the heartbroken heartthrob basically penned something out of a Shakespearean tragedy for his could-have-been fiancé.

“No one should ever regret falling in love. I know I sure don’t. [The Bachelorette] is a journey I will always look back on and smile. I have seen some incredible places and made incredible friends that will be in my life forever,” Blake began.

No one should ever regret falling in love. I know I sure don’t. #thebachelorette is a journey I will always look back on and smile. I have seen some incredible places and made incredible friends that will be in my life forever. I put every ounce of me into this experience and got more out of it then I could have imagined. I learned I should pee before my next rose ceremony. I learned to never wear a red bow tie with an all black suit, and I learned my haircut is very square. No but seriously…I learned most of all, that being honest means being vulnerable and open and to fight for the woman you love no matter the obstacles. #bachelornation is something I never expected. The support has been overwhelming and it truly is something special. I want you all to know I appreciate every comment and message and I will get back to as many as I can! Finally I never expected to truly fall in love on this show, but I’m so glad I did. @bkoof I want to thank you for showing me the kind of relationship I want in my life and just how much love I am capable of. You are a special woman and I wish you all the happiness in the world! I will never apologize for how hard I love and I will love again just as hard…

No, but seriously… I learned most of all, that being honest means being vulnerable and open and to fight for the woman you love no matter the obstacles,” he continued.

“[Bachelor Nation] is something I never expected. The support has been overwhelming and it truly is something special. I want you all to know I appreciate every comment and message and I will get back to as many as I can!” Blake added.

“Finally, I never expected to truly fall in love on this show but I’m so glad I did. [Becca Kufrin], I want to thank you for showing me the kind of relationship I want in my life and just how much love I am capable of. You are a special woman and I wish you all the happiness in the world! I will never apologize for how hard I love and I will love again just as hard,” Blake concluded.

Let’s go ahead and analyze his final line: “I will never apologize for how hard I love and I will love again just as hard.” We don’t know about y’all, but that sounds like a threat — in the best way! Nothing says “I’m ready to love hard again” like 29 women vying for your lifelong love and affection, right?

At this time, ABC has given little indication as to who their next Bachelor will be. That said, the Internet is definitely showing Blake some love at the moment. “Is it too early to start shouting #BlakeForBachelor from all the rooftops?!!” one fan commented on Twitter.

“During the commercial break I’ve made the executive decision that Blake would be a fantastic bachelor,” wrote another, to which Bachelor Nation’s own JoJo Flecther retweeted with “I SECOND THIS.” Well, there you have it, the people have spoken and they want Blake… even if Becca doesn’t. Too soon?
