Will Smith certainly hasn’t lost his touch after nearly three decades in showbiz!

The actor picked up MTV’s Generation Award at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards, but before he hit the stage, The Lonely Island performed an epic mash-up of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song, and the 47-year-old received praise from pals Queen Latifah and Halle Berry.

“When MTV gave me this award, I thought this was an old dude award,” Will teased. “I released my first record when I was 17, I’m 47-years-old now. This June marks thirty years in this business for me.”

The Concussion star continued joking about his age, adding, “I mean, The Lonely Island said it, parents just don’t understand, and I’m sitting with my kids sometimes like, I don’t get it!”

However, the father-of-three ended on a serious note, saying, “I’m dedicated to being a light in this world. I want to help people. I want to be a light. I want to play roles that have dignity. There’s so much suffering in this world, and I just want you to know I am dedicated ‘til I die to light and to love.”

Congrats on the achievement, Will!
