One week after Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt released a joint statement saying they’re “committed to act as a united front,” the 53-year-old actor claims a major victory in their ongoing court battle.
Sources tell Life & Style that the Maleficent star, 41, is being forced to hand over her kids to the Oscar winner after continually canceling visits and making it difficult for him to see them. An insider adds that Brad will be getting visitation much more regularly now.
The father-of-six’s warm welcome at the Golden Globes on Jan. 8 — he received wild applause from the audience — also proved that he has plenty of support from his Hollywood peers. “It really sent a message about how people have seen him as acting responsibly during Angelina’s entire smear campaign against him. There’s no question Brad has won this battle,” the source tells Life & Style.

In fact, people in Angie’s corner are growing tied of her antics and have turned against her. “There are huge disagreements between members of her team. They are fighting. Some of them don’t like her campaign against Brad,” the source shares. One key individual in her camp even threatened to quit because the humanitarian failed to recognize “that after the FBI and DCFS had cleared Brad, there just weren’t any grounds for her to get sole custody of the kids.”
The news comes just a couple of days after Brad stepped out a charity event looking alarmingly skinny following reports that his divorce has taken a toll both mentally and physically. He even called December 2016 “the worst holiday season of my life.”
"Brad's anguish is palpable right now," a source previously told the Daily Mail. "He desperately misses having his kids... These supervised visits are sheer hell on him.” Good thing he’ll be getting a little more freedom!
