After the Channel 4 series aired, fans took to social media to accuse JAY-Z of using and bullying the "Gold Digger" rapper, while supposedly trying to mentor the troubled star. In the documentary, fans went behind-the-scenes of the duo's longtime partnership, which included Jay taking Kanye under his wing when he first moved to New York and eventually working together on Watch the Throne.

Before his highly publicized mental breakdown last year, Kanye attacked his former BFF on stage, saying, "JAY-Z call me bruh, you still ain't call me. JAY-Z, I know you got killers. Please don't send em at my head. Just call me," before turning on his wife, "Beyoncé I was hurt, cause I heard you wouldn't perform unless you won video of the year over me and over 'Hotline Bling.'"
It wasn't long until Jay responded to the allegations, calling out Kanye on his new album 4:44. "I know people backstab you, I feel bad too / But this f--k everybody attitude ain’t natural / But you ain’t the same, this ain’t KumbaYe / But you got hurt because you did cool by ‘Ye / You gave him 20 million without thinkin’ / He gave you 20 minutes on stage, f--k was he thinkin’? / 'F--k wrong with everybody?’ is what you sayin’ / But if everybody’s crazy, you’re the one that’s insane."
Some fans did defend the father-of-three amid the allegations, with one pointing out, "Kanye I love you bro but you are venting at the wrong person. Jay-Z gave you the formula and you lost it."

Following her two-year relationship with Rob, the former Cheetah Girl spoke out about how her association with the Kardashian family negatively affected her career.
"To be stuck with that Kardashian label, that was so hurtful to me and to my career," Bailon said. "I probably realized that too late—not that it would've affected my decisions in terms of who I dated, but it would've affected my decision to appear on the show."
Although Rob didn't directly respond to the dig, his sister Kim did! "Funny how she says being with a Kardashian hurt her career yet the only reason she has this article is bc she is talking about a Kardashian," the 35-year-old tweeted at the time.
