Adele canceled the fireworks at her concert after she revealed her son was hit in the eye by debris.
During her Tuesday night performance in Perth, Australia, the Grammy-winning singer told her audience what happened when her four-year-old son Angelo was watching his famous mama rehearse earlier in the day.
"Up until last night, we did have fireworks for you," she said, as reported by an Australian music website. "My son was watching [soundcheck] in the crowd…a bit of debris went in his eye so we got rid of them."
Adele, 28, asked her fans to vote on bringing back the concert fireworks, and it was a unanimous yes.
"Alright, we'll do it next time," she said.
The "Hello" singer welcomed her son with husband Simon Konecki in 2012 — and has been very vocal balancing career and motherhood.
"Now that I’m a mom, I feel like everything I do, I’m making a legacy for my child,” Adele told NPR. “So I try and be proper and professional with all of my life, not just my career. I think it’s really important that I’m very articulate with my feelings going forward, because he will read all about this one day, and I want him to know that I cared about how I was portrayed when he existed in my life, that I wasn’t flippant with those things. I don’t want to be a baby raising a baby.”
Recently, Adele revealed she has plans for baby No. 2 after wrapping up her world tour in her hometown of London in July.
"My womb is starting to ache a little bit," she told the crowd in Nashville. "It's like, 'Baby, baby, baby. Need a baby, need a baby.' I'm not pregnant. I won't get pregnant until the end of the tour."
We're just glad little Angelo is OK!
