As Life & Style exclusively revealed, the 53-year-old, who's in the process of divorcing Angelina Jolie, offered an apology to his first wife, and sources close to the situation have confirmed that Jen, who is celebrating two years of marriage with husband Justin Theroux, has accepted the peace offering.

“She was incredibly receptive to the amends he was making,” the source says of Jen. “She told him she forgives him and to focus on the future.”
It’s clear the actor is making a lot of changes to his personal life, and his former love is definitely taking notice. According to the source, the former Friends star came away “with a whole new attitude toward Brad.”
“She actually vowed to start over with him as a genuine friend,” the insider says.
The source confirms that his apology came as a bit of a shock, as it’s out of character.
"Brad apologized for all the heartbreak,” the source says. “He doesn’t usually open up like that, but through therapy and recovery, he’s learned to express his feelings. He addressed all the hurt he caused her.”
In a recent interview with GQ, the father-of-six opened up about the major shifts he’s made in his life since becoming sober.
“You know, I just started therapy,” he told the mag. “I love it…Personally, I can't remember a day since I got out of college when I wasn't boozing or had a spliff, or something. Something. And you realize that a lot of it is, um — cigarettes, you know, pacifiers. And I'm running from feelings. I'm really, really happy to be done with all of that.”
We’re sure this sobriety means the world to his six kids, Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 11, and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
