The Hollywood Reporter states that the mother-of-two will be lending her voice as mayor of Gotham City in the spinoff to 2014's The Lego Movie, marking her first time on the big screen since Lee Daniels' The Butler in 2013. She previously starred as social worker Ms. Weiss in 2009's Precious.
Mariah is known for her diva attitude on set, so we bet director Chris McKay has his work cut out for him! Ralph Fiennes, Rosario Dawson, Michael Cera, Zach Galifianakis and Will Arnett will also be starring in the film.
Think the mayor will have her own musical number?
