10 Delicious, Easy-to-Make Recipes to Bring for Your Best Friendsgiving Celebration Yet

It’s once again time to gather your friends and celebrate the season with a fun and tasty friendsgiving get-together.

Generally more casual than a traditional sit-down Thanksgiving dinner, friendsgiving is a great opportunity to whip up some easy appetizers and drinks to catch up with friends over.

Here are a few of our favorite apps, mains, drinks, and desserts that are easy to make and transport for a delicious yet low-maintenance friendsgiving potluck celebration.

Cranberry Brie Bites

There’s no doubt that cranberry sauce has a prominent place on just about any Thanksgiving dinner table. But, for a more casual friendsgiving setting, these simple, five-ingredient cranberry brie bites capture the flavors of the season and are easier to eat and serve. Melty brie, tart cranberry, and flaky crescent dough come together for the perfect flavor combination, and they cook up in just 15 minutes.

Sausage Stuffing Bites

For another simple, no-utensils-required appetizer, give these sausage stuffing bites a try. Store-bought stuffing mix and sweet Italian sausage come together to form mini meatball-like bites. The cranberry honey mustard dipping sauce adds even more flavor and keeps them from getting dry.

Shaved Brussels Sprouts Salad

Add some greenery and lightness to the potluck spread with this Brussels sprouts salad. Raw Brussels sprouts and sliced apples give the salad a nice crunch, while dried cranberries and a maple dressing give it extra fall vibes. Adding shaved parmesan on top makes for the perfect cheesy touch.

Apple Cider Sangria

For the perfect fall-inspired big-batch cocktail recipe, look no further than a pitcher of apple cider sangria. Fresh apples and pears, white wine, brandy, and, of course, apple cider make for a sweet and refreshing drink. Making a big pitcher ahead of time makes it easy for guests to pour their own while socializing if the host is preoccupied in the kitchen.

Red Wine Hot Chocolate

Keep your friends extra cozy with a fun hot cocktail. Making red wine hot chocolate is really as easy as it sounds: simply combine red wine and hot chocolate. This version combines 60% cacao chocolate bars and heavy cream for an extra-thick hot chocolate since the red wine will thin things out.

Roasted Turkey Legs

Avoid the hassle of cooking (and cutting up!) a whole turkey while still staying in the traditional Thanksgiving spirit. Making turkey legs is a great alternative, since they’re easier to cook and easier for guests to grab. These ones are made by slathering on a simple yet flavorful herb compound butter. You can also still use the drippings to make gravy!

Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese

For a non-traditional spin on mac and cheese, try this version, which uses butternut squash, cheddar cheese, and goat cheese as the main components of the sauce. It’s rich, creamy, and anything but your average boxed mac and cheese. Be sure to use shells or another curvy pasta shape to help the cheese stick.

Baked Mashed Potato Bites

If you’re looking for a potato side dish that’s easier to serve than traditional mashed potatoes, then these baked mashed potato bites are for you. They’re cheesy, delicious and bake in less than 30 minutes. They’re a great way to jazz up store-bought mashed potatoes or use up leftovers any time.

Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Turkeys

These adorably festive chocolate-covered strawberry turkeys are sure to fly off the platter at your friendsgiving gathering! They may look fancy, but they actually only require a few ingredients. In addition to the obvious ingredients of strawberries and melted chocolate, all you need are pretzel sticks and mini marshmallows to make the super cute “turkey legs.”

Pumpkin Bars

You won’t find a festive fall dessert much simpler than these cake-like pumpkin bars. While they can be made from scratch, this shortcut version uses boxed spice cake mix for an easy base. Once they’re baked, top them off with a simple cream cheese frosting before slicing and serving.
