Actor Peter Billingsley, who rose to fame as Ralphie in the 1983 classic, A Christmas Story, is engaged to girlfriend Buffy Bains, according to People magazine.

The 44-year-old now works as a producer, but revisited his most memorable role in 2010 when he executive-produced A Christmas Story: The Musical!

“The film brings a lot of joy to a lot of people,” he said at the time. “I always get asked, ‘Aren’t you over it?’ But I’m not. I still have the gun. And I sadly still have that bunny suit.”
