Are Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun Really Dating? Here’s What We Know

Hollywood has a brand-new pairing no one saw coming.

Sydney Sweeney, 27, and music mogul Scooter Braun, 44, are sparking headlines after multiple insiders confirmed the two are casually seeing each other. According to People, one source revealed they’re “casually hooking up,” while another insider confirmed, “Everything is casual. She is living her life and working hard.”

The surprising duo were both on the guest list at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s lavish Venice wedding in June, where speculation around their connection began to swirl.

For Sydney, the news comes just months after her engagement to Jonathan Davino ended. The actress, who had been linked to the Chicago businessman since 2018, got engaged in 2022 but ultimately called off their wedding earlier this year. “They were supposed to get married this spring. The wedding is not happening, and they aren’t having further discussions about it,” a source told Us Weekly in March.

“Sydney wanted to cancel everything and couldn’t handle the stress. A lot of their issues stem from Sydney being extremely busy with work commitments.”

Sydney later confirmed the breakup herself in an interview with The Times on May 31. “I’m learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I’m loving it,” she said, making it clear she was single at the time.

The Euphoria star also admitted her packed work schedule played a role in her personal struggles. “I took three weeks off in April last year,” she explained. “There’s 24 hours in a day, obviously, but I make sure that there are 26 for me.” She noted she often works weekdays, nights, and weekends on just four hours of sleep.

Meanwhile, Scooter has had his own high-profile relationship history. He married Yael Cohen in 2014, but the couple split in 2021 and finalized their divorce the following year. The record executive and activist share three children: sons Jagger, 10, and Levi, 8, and daughter Hart, 6.

Despite the speculation, Sydney’s focus remains firmly on her career. With several projects in the works — including the long-awaited third season of Euphoria — she’s keeping busy. “Being back is crazy, I love Cassie so much. She’s insane,” she told The Times.

She also addressed how playing such a controversial role has impacted her opportunities. “I see it all the time where they don’t think I am right for [a role] because they watched Cassie in Euphoria. Especially because Cassie was such a sexualized character — that puts a wall up for people,” Sydney explained. “I feel like I’m constantly having to be, like, ‘No, no, I’m an actor, I’m supposed to be different characters.’”
