We all watched Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Jen Harley's relationship end over social media — or, more accurately, crash and burn — but what about Jersey Shore Family Vacation co-star Vinny Guadagnino's romance with Elicea Shyann? Are Vinny and Elicea still together? No, they're not… and it seems their relationship ended much less dramatically.
Vin revealed the breakup in an interview in April. "I wasn't using the 'smoosh room' on the show 'cause I was in a relationship on the show," he told ET. "[On the show] I do have someone I really care about, she's the girl that I was with, but currently, it didn't work out, so I'm single."
However, unlike Ronnie, Vinny apparently didn't do anything in Miami to jeopardize the relationship. In fact, the 30-year-old says being on the show only influenced his and Elicea's decision to split "slightly." He explained, "There [were] problems beforehand. And then this is the type of thing that could really be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Not because I'm out there doing anything. You don't talk to the person for a month because you don't have a cell phone, you don't have a TV, you don't have communication." (And yeah, the duck phone didn't help.)
"Plus, we had a long-distance relationship — she's from California; I'm from New York — which would already be impossible for somebody," Vinny added. "So a lot of things just made us like, 'Listen, this can't happen right now, maybe down the line.'"
That said, Vinny did admit that it was "a little sticky" explaining why he was in a club "until 6 in the morning every night." But he still maintained his innocence. "I know that I did the right thing and that's all that matters."
So what's ahead for Vinny as he and the rest of the Seaside Heights gang gears up for Jersey Shore Family Vacation Season 2? This Keto Guido said he is "not looking to be with anybody right now," but he's still optimistic he and Elicea can be together again some day: "I hope that the logistics work out one day so we can be."
