Bam Adebayo Shares Adorable Moment With His Mom During Press Conference
Bam Adebayo proved he’s just like the rest of us when it comes to loving his mom.
During a November 12 press conference, the Miami Heat star was answering questions when he suddenly got a call from his mom. And instead of ignoring it, he answered it with a loving “Hi, mommy” as reporters listened in.
ESPN shared the moment via an Instagram post. The caption read, “This Bam Adebayo moment is too wholesome 🥰.”
After picking up the call, Adebayo gently reminded his mom several times that he’s “in media.” A moment later he smiled, reassuring her with a “No, it’s all good. Alright,” before the call ended.
Fans couldn’t get enough of the sweet moment, flooding social media with reactions. One fan wrote, “I love how his mom clearly didn’t care he was in media 😂.” Another jokingly added, “She was like, well, now that I have you…” A third chimed in, “Mom first—everyone else comes second!!!!!”
Adebayo has been open about his close relationship with his mom, Marilyn Blount. In 2020, he gifted her a house for her 56th birthday, sharing several photos on Instagram of her walking into the home for the first time.
He captioned the post, “SCREAMING HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY WHOLE 🌎 You Deserve This And Much More. You Can Officially Say ‘This My Sht’ #MommaGotACrib.”
At 28 years old, Adebayo has developed into one of the Heat’s most impressive players. He was selected in the 2017 NBA Draft with the 14th pick by the Miami Heat.
This season, he is averaging 19.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. However, he has been sidelined recently due to a left big toe sprain, which he sustained during a game against the Denver Nuggets on November 6.
As a result, he has missed the Heat’s last four games, leaving the team to adjust without one of their primary scorers and defenders.
The Miami Heat are set to play the New York Knicks on November 14, 2025 at Madison Square Garden.
While the team hopes to make a strong showing, it’s unlikely Adebayo will be returning to the court for this matchup.
