It's been a tough year for former Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada, who revealed on a recent episode of her new reality series, Livin' Lozada, that her third pregnancy had ended in a miscarriage.
"I feel like when something tragic like this happens, I've always learned that there is something better to come and I guess that's what I hold onto. That it just wasn't meant to be," the 39-year-old, who was six-weeks along at the time, shared during the episode.
But the worst part: she knew it was coming. "I started feeling cramping. I knew…the process was starting," she recalled. Thankfully, Evelyn, who was previously married to football player Chad Johnson, has found peace through the support of friends and family.
"I feel better," she said. "I'm like, Ok, it's happening. I've accepted it. I feel like I can deal."
Doctors blame low hormone levels for the miscarriage, but Evelyn explained that she can't help but feel partly at fault. "You just feel responsible. It’s your body. It’s a loss that only you can relate to,” she told People magazine.
Despite their loss, the brunette beauty and her fiancé Carl Crawford are already the proud parents of a baby boy named Leo. She also has an adult daughter named Shaniece from a previous relationship.
