She’s so brave. Just four months after Beverley Mitchell and husband Michael Cameron announced that they lost their twins, the 7th Heaven alum, 38, took to Instagram to share three deeply emotional posts about her miscarriage.

“This was the photo of when we found out we were pregnant with twins last year. Today I share a little about my struggle this past week in knowing if I didn’t miscarry that I would have a baby maybe even two right now,” Beverley began.

“I always keep it real with you guys and last week was a sad week for me, but through sadness comes joy, and this week I am focusing on love, gratitude and the magic of the future,” she continued. The mother-of-two concluded her first post by  prompting followers to check out her blog for the rest of the story. As it happens, though, Beverley’s site gained so much traction that it crashed.

Thankfully, she decided to post the rest of her powerful words on social media. Perhaps two of her more heartfelt insights were about how supportive her husband is — and how she tries to appreciate what she has despite the sadness. “I’ve been struggling. I’m physically fine, but my heart hurts and my mind is tired,” Beverley confessed.

“My husband is a saint and has been so kind and supportive. He lets me feel what I need to, but is there to pick up the pieces and just hold me. I look at our two beautiful and I am so incredibly grateful, but in my heart I know we are not complete.” Beverley and Michael have a daughter, Kenzie, who is 5 years old, and a son, Hutton, who is 4.

Despite the emotional trauma she has faced as a result of her miscarriage, Beverley assured her followers who may be struggling with the same reality that “it is OK to take time to feel it all.” We appreciate her honesty during this particularly vulnerable time in her family’s life and we wish them all the best.
