Reality couple Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert recently revealed that they suffered a miscarriage after getting pregnant during season 2 of Bachelor in Paradise. The news comes as a surprise because the pair announced at the end of January that they were expecting their second child. While it’s a happy time in their lives, the duo got emotional talking about losing their baby during a tell-all video on their YouTube channel.

The starlet also shared her grief on social media. “I had a miscarriage. These words have burned inside me for over three years. I was honestly so scared to share our story because I have always had this inner voice that’s said I don’t matter as much, especially when it comes to my struggles or my pain,” the 32-year-old captioned a photo on Instagram of the two during the reality show finale.

The reality stars shared in their video that they conceived the first time they had sex. In her social media post, Jade added that she had reservations about sharing their story since it happened on the reality show. She continued, “My journey with my grief has been a rollercoaster, and so I’ve never even known really where to start with telling others. I’ve also been afraid to tell people Tanner and I got pregnant on Bachelor in Paradise while filming.”

However, she doesn’t want to hide such an important part of their story. “I’ve been keeping this weight for a long time, but being pregnant with our second child, all these emotions have been on the surface for me. I just felt it was time to get it out of me and share our story and honor our baby.”

The starlet was sure to thank her followers for all the support. She ended the lengthy post by saying, “Thank you for all the kind words, they’ve made me feel very loved and have made me feel less alone.”
