When are the 2017 Billboard Music Awards?

The award show will air live on Sunday, May 21, 2017, at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Where can you watch the show?

The TV channel airing the broadcast has not officially been announced (ABC had the honors last year), but Dick Clark Productions and Twitter have teamed up to live-stream the red carpet, which will include celebrity interviews as well as questions from social media.

When will this year’s nominees be announced?

Billboard has yet to reveal when the nominees will be announced, or the performers for that matter, but they did explain how each of the finalists are chosen. Nominees are based on “key fan interactions with music, including album and digital songs sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social engagement,” the media company said in a statement.

We wonder who will dominate this year’s ceremony given that The Weeknd reigned supreme in 2016. The 27-year-old picked up a total of eight awards, including Top R&B Artist and Top R&B Album.

The “Starboy” singer dedicated his Top Hot 100 Artist award to Prince, who had passed away just one month prior. “I want to dedicate this award to the late, great Prince. Rest in Peace,” he said onstage. “I was told not long ago that his last TV appearance he had given me an award. That was the greatest experience of my entire life and I love him so much.”

May 21 can’t come soon enough!
