Blac Chyna’s Longtime Assistant Lorena “Patty” Hernandez Dies After Being Taken off Life Support
Such a tragedy. Blac Chyna's longtime assistant and house manager, Lorena "Patty" Hernandez has died after her family made the incredibly difficult decision to disconnect her life support on May 16. Lorena was only 34 years old.
According to a report from The Blast, Patty sustained a brain hemorrhage back in January at Blac Chyna’s Salon in Encino, CA. She was rushed to the hospital and stabilized, but sadly fell into a coma shortly thereafter.
"Patty had been showing signs of improvement over the months, and had even been breathing on her own for a short time, but unfortunately her condition rapidly worsened and she never recovered," the report detailed.
Additionally, a source close to the family told the publication that Chyna had little involvement with her assistant or her family following Patty's hospitalization. In fact, in the days immediately following Patty's death, Chyna has yet to publicly make a statement. On May 17, her Instagram story showed the 30-year-old holding stacks of dollar bills at a strip club.
Chyna's lack of memorial may be a result of reports stating that Patty's family plans to file a wrongful death suit against the mother-of-two. "Remember when the news broke and she said she was helping [Hernandez] and she was helping the kids and everything? She never did," a source told Page Six. "I mean all she pretty much did was spread the word and reach out to her baby daddies [Tyga and Rob Kardashian], so she felt like, 'That's how I helped,'" the source added.
Page Six has confirmed that Blac Chyna's attorney Walter Mosley has no comment on the matter.
