In a surprisingly candid series of tweets, Cara Delevingne opened up about her struggle with depression — and whether or not she’s given up modeling completely.

Despite rumors she quit the profession that made her famous, the 23-year-old’s new campaign with Saint Laurent proved otherwise.

“Can we just set the record straight… I never said I was quitting modeling,” she wrote on Twitter. “I do not blame the fashion industry for anything. I suffer from depression and was a model during a particularly rough patch of self hatred.”

The blonde beauty confessed it was necessary for her to take a step back. “I am so lucky for the work I get to do but I used to work to try and escape and just ended up completely exhausting myself,” she shared.

Cara revealed she’s now focusing on her career as an actress, despite being the new face of Saint Laurent’s La Collection De Paris. She’s also learning “how to not pick apart my every flaw.”

The Brit has a whopping six projects in the works, including the highly-anticipated film, Suicide Squad, alongside Ben Affleck, Margot Robbie and Will Smith.
